First, go to the OzStar accounts link and fill out the appropriate form for requesting an account.

Once your access has been approved, you can ssh into the head node of Green II by typing the following into the terminal:

ssh -Y [your-username]@g2.hpc.swin.edu.au

Note: you don’t want to run jobs on the head node, only submit jobs to queue nodes from here. Switch to one of the interactive nodes (gstar001, gstar002, sstar001, sstar002, or sstar003) if you want to run small jobs.

You can join projects by going to the account management website and request to join projects via a drop-down list.

Warning: signing up for an account for OzStar doesn’t necessarily mean you will have access to gStar/SwinStar projects. You may need to request additional access.
